On the versatility and complexity of Gustave Eiffel's architecture
In mid-January of this year (2020), MMATT Architects was cordially invited by the broadcaster Jalisco Radio to participate in the block of Cultural Heritage of Mexico.
In a pleasant and interesting interview with the announcer David Martínez, we talk about the architecture of Gustave Eiffel, as well as its impact on our country. Likewise, we mention some aspects of his works in Mexico, such as the Iron Bridge in Ecatepec or the Iron Palace in Veracruz. We talked about the events that gave rise to these works and what has happened to them over the years.
Some of these works have ceased to be what they were to adapt to time and situation. While others have maintained their use and form since their inception. However, in both cases they continue to demonstrate how versatile and complex architecture can be.
As active members of the guild we are always open to talk in any cultural or academic sector. For this reason, we appreciate invitations like the one from Jalisco Radio. It was a pleasure.
