Located at kilometer 29 of the Toluca-Atlacomulco highway, in Ixtlahuaca there is a land of great proportions, wide plains and spectacular views that at the end of the 90's were acquired by Mario Fortino Alfonso Moreno Reyes, better known as Mario Moreno. Cantinflas and to this day is the same hacienda with significant improvements coupled with a hotel with country houses and golf courses, one of the most attractive areas for history and comfort in the State of Mexico.

At MMATT Arquitectos we were entrusted with the project of a country house on one of the plots of land embedded within the 500 hectares that make up La Purisima, a rest house with framed views towards the large mountains that delimit the plot and with materials according to the terrain and the climate to generate the greatest comfort desired by our client.

A design that adapts to the terrain formed by two bodies aligned to two different axes to rank the spaces and with warm materials to make a user-friendly country house due to its peculiar climate; tying to gabled roofs for greater water capture and that this in turn serves to help both the barn and the crops and thus create a mostly sustainable space.
