01. ABOUT THE PROJECT

  • CONSTRUCTION: 160 M2
  • LOCATION: CDMX
  • ARCHITECTURE: MMATT ARCHITECTS
  • PROGRAM: REHABILITATION

We executed the rehabilitation program for an apartment in Colonia Nápoles in Mexico City with a basic idea: to redefine and enhance the attractiveness of this space by generating a quality of disruptive visual and spatial appreciation.

We have the support of structural engineers throughout the entire project, with whom the decision was made to expand some areas with the aim of generating a much lighter flow for the user in the department, in addition, the dispatch line was rehabilitated towards both a modernist and minimalist vision.

Monochromatic finishes, colors, lighting and sensations are translated into all areas of the project and at the same time, generate some elements that break this scheme. In this sense, wallpaper is used on the columns and magnetic rails to obtain special lighting in the balcony area, which indirectly frames and enhances the position and tones of a green wall outside.

At the same time and continuing the trends of current architecture, the project included lighting and security automation controlled from new technological applications, so that the user can control it on site or remotely.

Design has always been a fundamental part of the firm throughout these years. We believe that spaces should speak for themselves and with those who inhabit them to generate warmth, comfort, security, but mainly a satisfactory experience from the course to the completion of the project.
